Hi, I'm Famida and I'm the designer behind amelia zane.
I was born in the beautiful lush green valleys of Assam, North East India and grew up in East London. I am really inspired by the traditional folk/tribal jewellery of the region and my pieces use bold colour and quirky style to create a playful, contemporary boho chic look. All brought together with a generous sprinkle of techni-colour "retro".
amelia zane brings together my love of design and the part it plays on inspiring the way we choose to live our lives. My pieces are made to be tactile and emotive, lifting the spirits through colour, texture and mood.
amelia zane jewellery is lovingly handmade in my East London studio using a selection of materials such as; eco-friendly wood, plated metal, fabric and leather. I design beads which are 3D printed by the wonderful people at www.lee3d.co.uk who are also based in London.
I like to keep it local!
A little more about me...
I am a graduate of Architecture and a Diploma in Accessories Design at the London College of Fashion, followed by a career in Marketing. During which I worked closely with the British Fashion Industry and a number of fashion accessory designers.
I believe amelia zane jewellery is designed to be experienced and enjoyed, because over time just like any of our treasured possessions...they soon become etched with our special memories.
So, thank you for visiting the shop and I hope you enjoy looking at my jewellery.
